

We recently published our 6 month analysis of Top Keto Chow Flavors, and it’s time to do one for SALTT as well! You can view our previous SALTT leaderboard post here. We introduced The SALTT Electrolyte Drink Mix (hereafter just “SALTT”) on December 27, 2023 – almost 2 years ago! – check out this blog post for more info on why we made our own flavored electrolytes, and this post on why we do NOT use maltodextrin in our flavors.

A continuing trend is that people REALLY like SALTT in the variety packs. Those 3 packs represent over 38% of the total sales of SALTT! If you look at sales of the 30 count packs INCLUDING the variety packs, the “Fruit Variety” and “Ultra Variety” absolutely dominate the rest. We noticed last time that the percentage of sales that were the variety packs had gone down as people find the flavors they like best and grab the individual 30 packs. This trend of the variety packs losing popularity has continued (in May they represented 47% of sales) in large part due to the debut of Blue Slushies and Red White and BAM.
Since the variety packs skew the data so effectively, let’s ignore those and take a look at the single-flavor 30 packs.
Interestingly, the Clean Slate (no flavor, no sweetener, perfect for Carnivore!) is STILL the highest selling individual 30 pack, continuing that distinction from our last analysis. New additions Blue Slushies and Red White and BAM pulled a significant amount away from Cherry Chill, Zesty Orange, and Booyah Berry. Lemon Lime Twist and the pink lemonade flavor Endless Summer gained popularity this time – Lemon Lime Twist taking much of that from the previously discontinued Citrus Splash which is now completely gone. We don’t have enough data on Radical Grape to see how it’s doing yet, expect that to be added next time we do this analysis.
Finally we come to how the individual flavor packets sold: inside of a variety pack, or not. The statistics are HEAVILY influenced by the contents of the variety packs, with the flavors that have higher quantities in the “Ultra Variety” and “Fruit Variety” taking a larger percentage by default. For example: Cherry Chill is found in both variety packs, while Clean Slate is only in the Ultra Variety. Cherry Chill maintains its status as the top flavor of SALTT, but newcomer Blue Slushies is making its debut at #4 and is likely to continue its climb. We announced last time that Stoked Mango had been officially “discontinued” and would not be reordered once the current supply runs out. We do still have stock of Stoked Mango remaining, but it’s likely to run out in the near future. We are trying to keep a small portfolio of flavors for SALTT which does mean that other flavor discontinuations for the less popular flavors are likely coming in 2026 to make way for new offerings.
